God wants us to come to Him with all our concerns. However, there are some believers who do not bother communicating with the Lord except in emergencies. They use the genie in the bottle approach. Neglecting prayer is costly because it often results in discouragement.
Certain things can add emotional, physical and spiritual burdens on us. These situations can wear us out if we continue to not ask for help from the one who can help us carry these burdens. 1 Peter 5:7 says to cast all your cares on God because he cares for us. His strength supports us in our weakness, but we He wants us to communicate with Him through prayer.
As you pray, picture Jesus’ shoulders just above your own with Him bearing your problems. Blessed be the Lord who daily bears our burden. (Psalm 68:19)
