The word erosion means the gradual process of destruction over time. It is the process by which something gets worn down. This is normally thought of when we talk about the earth’s surface or even tooth enamel. However, this also happens in ones spirit.
Spiritual erosion is dangerous because it occurs so slowly that we’re often unaware of it before it’s too late. This happens slowly inside our spirits. It starts with picking and choosing what parts of the word of God we will obey and which ones we deem not that important. We start by making excuses for our rebellious behavior and slothful actions.
Check your spirits regularly to be sure it is free of those elements that may cause erosion.
