The popularity of social media reveals our desires to connect with others. However, many people still feel lonely. There are times that people can be in a group at church, at work or even in their home and still feel as if they are surrounded by strangers. Instead a building a wall of self protection, we must risk opening up and letting others into our lives.
Relational walls can be difficult to recognize. Sometimes self protection comes in the form of unforgiveness, gossip, resentment or distrust. Ask God to reveal ways that you may be shutting others out. He’ll help you demolish hinderances in relationship with Him and others.
