How well do we hear from God? In today’s climate, hearing from God can be difficult. Many times we are bombarded by political events, racial injustices, police brutalities, and the murder of mankind just to name a few.
The scripture says, “My sheep know my voice, and a stranger they will not follow”. (John 10:5) How do we differentiate the voice of God and block out all the other voices? We must commit time to God in his word and in prayer. Doing this will allow us to sharpen our ear to hear the voice of God. Spending time with God also helps us learn his characteristics. The more we know his character, the easier it will become to recognize His voice.
Believers have a responsibility to listen carefully and be self aware. (Luke 8:18)
