Every day we have the opportunity to influence people that we come in contact. We can be a positive influence or a negative one. Through our example and testimony, we can draw people to Christ. Through our lives, we can show people what it looks like to live for Christ.
Daniel was a godly influence to his friends and to those in authority. As a youth, he was committed to obeying the law. When Daniel was offered food from the Babylonian king’s table, he requested vegetarian meals so he could comply with Jewish dietary restrictions. God protected Daniel b giving him favor with this overseer.
Although most of us won’t have an opportunity to influence global leaders, our example can impact a workplace, a neighborhood, our home and future generations. In a world that is tossed about by fear and uncertainty, our confidence in the Lord stands out and influences those around us.
