NO ONE IS PERFECT

One of our responsibilities as part of God’s household is to come alongside a brother or sister who stumbles. Paul tell us that our job is to actually restore them. (Galatians 6:1)  However, the word spiritual does not mean some elite group of pious leaders that looks down on those who may have fallen in their Christian walk.  It means that we are the ones who are living under the control of the Holy Spirit and will offer them guidance back to the right path.

We should operate in gentleness, humility and love. We should not be loading them with guilt, but loading them with grace. This is the time that the strong carry the infirmities of the weak. (Romans 15:1) When we truly love others. we will willingly share their burdens. This requires and unselfish investment of our time, energy and prayer on their behalf.

How do we react when a fellow Christian stumbles? Do we restore or ridicule? Do we laugh at them or lift them? Do we add more hurt or offer help? Remember, no one is perfect.

Galatians 6:1-5
