It’s easy to get wrapped up in the rhythms of daily life, jobs, family, social commitments homes and to do list. We can quickly move from one thing to the next only focused on earthly demands and not leave room for thoughts of our kingdom responsibilities. Sometimes we pay little to no attention to our godly priorities.
Paul reminded the Colossians to take an eternal perspective, setting their minds on “the things above” (Col.3:1-2) In the sermon on the mount, Jesus also reminds us that where ever our treasure is, there our heart will be also. (Matt6:21) These verses remind us that in the hustle and bustle of life, we must remember to keep a view of the savior. Let’s set our thoughts and habits on practices that help keep our attention on God’s promises.
