In times of trouble, it is easy to sometimes have a bowed down head and bowed down heart. Where do you go for help when trouble comes in your life? Trouble has a way of drawing our focus downward to the immediate situation rather than upward to the Lord. However, He still reigns over every event in our life. Our first response to trials and tribulations should be to open the word of God and find out what He says.
When we focus our attention on the Lord, and His promises, it’s like throwing wood on the fire of our spiritual life. This will help us face whatever challenges that come our way. Because we sometimes allow fear and worry to slip back in, we must continue to add fuel to the fire by repeatedly filling out minds with the truths that are found in the word of God. Let’s put out the fire of fear and ignite the fire of faith.
An obedient and yielded life that’s settled in God’s word, and His Holy Spirit is immovable by trials and tempests of life.
