What or who is the Lord to you? There are countless ways we can complete the phrase, “The Lord is….” David had many ways that he completed this statement. Most people immediately recite the 23rd Psalm. The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. While the Lord is definitely our shepherd, He is so much more. In our weakness, He is our strength. In our darkest situations, He is the light.
The more time you spend with God, the more you realize that He is truly our everything. He is the one that can give us peace that surpasses all understanding, He is the one that will dry all of our tears. He is the one that will hide us in His secret place. He is the one who inhabits our praise. He is the one who rewards us when we diligently seek Him. Challenge yourself daily to find out just what He is to you. Many times we find out that He is more to us today than He was on yesterday and He will be more to us on tomorrow that He is on today.
