Do you know what you believe? Many of us believe what we believe because of what we were told. Others believe because of what they have seen. It is important to have a solid foundation of our faith in all areas of our lives. Having this foundation does not mean we will always make the best choices. After all we are human. However, we are guided by what we accept as truth. Trusting the Lord hinges on whether we know that He is who He says He is.
The word of God contains many scriptures about false teachers and prophets. If we have a strong foundation, we will not be so easily swayed or deceived by them. That’s why the word teaches us to safeguard against believing in error, by filling our mind with truth.
If you have not developed a daily habit of spending time with God and His word, why not start today?
