A consistent relationship with God thru His word is essential to having victory in Christ. Actively studying God’s word is a great place to start. We can’t actively believe in God with our day to day challenges, if we are not actively spending time in His word. Romans 10:17 reminds us the way to activate the scriptures and our faith, is by spending time in the word. Without God’s word, we can’t have direction for our lives. (Psalm 119:105)
God’s word is our sword of the spirit. (Ephesians 6:17) However, we must learn how to use it if we want to be a powerful force in the kingdom. God’s word is alive and effective when we use it correctly. When we receive it by reading it, meditating on it, and applying it, the power of the word becomes alive in us. When we receive the word of God, it invades every part of our being. (Hebrews 4:12)
