What Did You Say?

Death and life are in the power of the tongue. (Proverbs 18:21) The words that come from your mouth have a direct effect not only on your life, but on the lives of those that are connected to you.  The trajectory of lives can be changed by the words you speak. It has been said that sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me. That statement is far from the truth.  We must remember that our words have power.

Paul said, “Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt.” (Col. 4:6) We should learn to use our words as added flavor to the lives of our friends and family. Let’s strive to use our tongue for good encouraging words to influence people for Jesus.

As ambassadors for Jesus Christ, we must learn to speak graciously. Let’s make it our habit to use a kind tone of voice, courteous approach, humble spirit and edifying words.
