Have you ever been so focused on doing your own thing, that you accidently tune out the voice of God? Sometimes you can be so busy “doing you” that you forget that God has plans for you. (Jer. 29:11)
God has a way of getting our undivided attention. He does this by doing something so unusual that we have to stop, look and listen. Imagine being like Moses being up on a mountain in, the wilderness seeing a bush on fire but never consumed. Then, a voice comes out of the bush. You would have to stop in your tracks and pay attention. A that moment, your thoughts and agenda cease and you are completely focused on that bush. Whatever that “bush” is in your life, see it as God trying to get your attention.
We must learn to look for God in all things. Whether the situation is good or bad, we would be wise to step back and ask God to help us see His hand in the midst of it all.
