No one likes heartache. However, God sometimes uses pain to mold his children. Although times of happiness are wonderful, times of brokenness produces growth.
The apostle Paul experienced being blessed but being broken. After being on the Damascus road, he still needed spiritual growth in order to be effective for Christ. Therefore God allowed the affliction of a thorn in his flesh. Three times Paul pleaded with the Lord to remove it. However, the thorn remained. Although Paul was in pain, his response was one of gratefulness. (2Cor. 12:10)
If you truly want to live for Jesus, trust Him thru prayer in your broken times. You may be broken, but you’re still blessed.
2 Corinthians 12:7-10
