Any time we face troubles, our first tendency is to try to figure it out ourselves. We will attemt to patch it, tape it cover it or do whatever we can to handle the situation. Many times we are driven by worry and not by wisdom. What we really need to do, is cry out to God.
It is in troubled situations that wisdom can be cultivated if we call on God. Matthew 6:33 says, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.” When we set our hearts and mind on him, our devotion grows and our values begin to align with His.
Psalms 25:4-5, and 11 reminds us to ask God for direction and clarity. These verses remind us to call upon the Lord. He is the one who has saved us. It is Him who we depend on to guide, provide, protect and love us. So, whenever we face a problem, our first thought will be to turn to our heavenly Father.
Recognize that troubles can be used as a means to draw us back to God. When troubles come, thank God for getting you attention. Seek Him with all your heart and ask Him for help.
