As Christians, we live in 2 worlds, an earthly one and a heavenly one. However because the earthly one is all we can see, it’s easy to get sidetracked. It’s easy to be bombarded with the cares of this world. IPeter 5:7 says ” Cast your cares on Him, because He cares for you”. The Lord wants you to give it all to him. Colossians 3:2 says “Set your mind on things above, not on earthly things”. Our mind has to be renewed daily so that our thinking can be set on heavenly things. This earthly world is always in our view, that’s why the mind needs to renewed daily. Romans 12:2
Instead of worrying, lets pay attention to how we are living. We must guard against investing everything for ourselves and nothing for the life to come. When we are blinded by the things of this world, it is easy to become lukewarm about spiritual matters. The scripture warns us to be attentive to spiritual matters. Remember Colossians 3:2. The Lord is to have first place in our lives and be the center of our affections. Setting our hearts and minds on anything else would rob us of heavenly treasures and keep us from enjoying the spiritual blessings that God has for us right now.
