Have you ever received a package in the mail that says “Fragile: Handle with Care?” That tells you that there is something on the inside of the package that is delicate. There is something that is addressed to you but it also come with instructions as to how to handle it. Yes it belongs to you, but it gives you a warning that if you don’t handle it correctly, you could damage or break it.
When people come to Christ or even come to church for the first time, they are fragile. They should be handled with care. Some are already damaged making delicate care a necessity. We should be careful how we speak to them. (Prov. 15:1) Don’t look at them like they are out of place. We are supposed to show the love of God. We are not to give them the look of condemnation. (Romans 8:1) Will you be a magnet by lifting up Christ and draw them in? (John 12:32)
