Everybody wants to be chosen. Being chosen gives us a sense of belonging or acceptance. Growing up playing ball, you always wanted someone to choose you for their team. You did not want to be the last one chosen. You wanted to be chosen first. Being chosen first seemed to symbolize that you were valuable and you were important.
GOD CHOSE YOU FIRST! We had absolutely nothing to offer Him except our sin. Yet He still chose us. We were that valuable and important to Him. How did He choose us? Romans 5:8 “While we were yet sinners, He died for us.” God chose us not after we were saved but before we had done anything save worthy. He chose us before we were even born.
No matter who you are or what you have done, know that He chose you. Now will you accept the invitation to be on His team. He already knows you won’t follow all the plays in the play book. (The Bible) He shed is blood for that. You are Chosen!
