We all make mistakes. We all make decisions that we second guess. Who hasn’t messed up? All the perfect people, raise your hands. All the people who have it all together, please come forth. There are none. Some may try to convince you that they have dotted every “I” and crossed every T. This so far from the truth.
Paul said in Phil. 3:13 “No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing; Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead”. Loosely translated, Paul is saying I’m not there yet and I will let nothing from my past keep me from getting where I need to be. We all have a past. That is where it needs to stay, in the past. We need to learn from it but not relive it. All of us have some “use to be and use to do” in our past lives. Just don’t let it creep into your present and keep you from pursuing what God has for you in your future. Paul said he focused on forgetting. Catch that. Many times we focus so much on remembering. There are some things we simply need to forget. If we gaze on it, it will eventually grab us. What’s holding you? Is it past hurts, past mistakes, or past relationships? You can’t safely move forward while looking backwards,
FOCUS ON FORGETTING!
