Ecc. 7:8 “Finishing is better than starting, Patience is better than pride”
How many things have you started but never finished? How many books have you started to read and never finished? How many plans have been made that were never finished? If we are honest with ourselves, starting is not our problem, but finishing is. So many times we get distracted or discouraged and simply quit. If we are not successful, we give up and we never go back and attempt to complete the task. We fail to realize that if God spoke it, its got to come to pass, but we have to put forth the effort.
Philipians 1:6 “Being confident, that He who has begun a good work in you will COMPLETE it until the day of Jesus Christ” Jesus is not a quitter. Therefore quitting should not be an option for the believers. We must have enough confidence in Christ to know that if He started it, He is well able to finish it.
What if it hurts, or its uncomfortable? Psalm 34:19 “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivereth them out of them all.” He will still finish it. There is not defeat or quit in Him.
Understand this, satan never quits. If he can’t get you one way, he doesn’t say, nevermind, I’ll just give up. I won’t bother them any more. He goes back. He plots and schemes until he can find another way to attack. The enemy is persistent. Are you?
Whatever you do, don’t quit. You may have to restructure, reevaluate or rethink the plans. You may have to go back to God and ask Him to show you again.
Quitting Is Not An Option!
